yesterday (St. Patrick's Day!) was SUCH a nice day! so me and mackenna finally got to go on a picnic! plus we actually had a decent amount of food in the house for once, so it all worked out nicely. i still woke up later than i wanted...10:00. i know, it's really bad. and i only woke up because i heard mackenna crying upstairs. so i figured she slept in and needed to get out of her crib. so i got up and went up there, but she wasn't in her room. she was in the bathroom. on her little pink toilet. saying I NEED TOILET PAPER!! when the toilet paper is TWO INCHES to her left! she always does this. i don't get it. oh and she had unraveled HALF of the roll already. so she obviously has the ability of getting it herself. so, she got to go in the naughty chair for wasting all the toilet paper.
then we played for a little, got ready, and packed up a lunch and walked to our picnic spot. (btw, i didn't wear green....i don't own anything green except for a jacket, and it wasn't cold enough to be wearing a jacket. i felt really bad about it) anyway, we layed (dunno the correct grammar for that word...) out our blanket and set out the food. geese were swimming in the river where we went so we fed them some of the tortilla from Mackenna's quesadilla.
after a while, they just stared at us, waiting for more food. then a couple jumped up out of the water...i seriously thought they were going to attack us and steal our food! but then i remembered that they're geese, not seagulls. haha! i ate the rest of my chipotle burrito from the night before. i read my book and soaked in the sun while mackenna ran up and down the hill.
the weather was warm but with a cool breeze. it was so so perfect! i'm so happy warm weather is finally here :) and we found some pretty flowers blooming!
