alright, i know, i'm horrible. i meant to post this earlier, but i'm a SLACKER!! and me and Carrie went over to our friend's house for fondue and games and didn't get home till 11:30 then i took a shower and i'm just now finishing this post. at 1 AM!!! i'm sorry, really. now, let's get on with it...
Valentino. you know it's a good collection when i have to choose 10 (i was only going to choose 6, but i couldn't resist) out of my 20 favorite looks!! and the ones i chose makes it look like they don't all belong in the same collection but if you look at the whole show then you'll see that they really do! they flow into each other beautifully (was that weird?). oh how i dream of owning a Valentino gown!!! or anything Valentino, for that matter! like those T-strap heels!! or that FUR COAT!! the best fur coat i've seen! and i absolutely loveee the look of wearing a pretty, flowy skirt with a basic, neutral sweater! oh man!!! love love love!!!
Hermes. Christophe Lemaire's debut collection for Hermes was beautiful. nomadic and strong with desert and imperial colors. i loved so many of the looks, the more neutral warm colors made me want fall to be here already! it felt so cozy and adventurous at the same time! such a great collection!
Chanel. such an awesome collection and show. it was dark (mostly ALL black pieces) with a set that was spooky, end of the world, apocalyptic. so cool. the clothes were faded and tattered but in a very chic way. i would kill to go to a Chanel show someday!!
Vivienne Westwood. this was a crazy collection. i kinda didn't get it. with the weirdly styled hair and super random makeup. and it didn't seem like any of the pieces complimented each other or even belonged in the same collection. i mean, compare the top and bottom pictures...how can those possibly be in the same collection? idk....weird. but i must admit, i like a few pieces. the ones i've shown here and that's about it. and i'm a sucker for glitter, so i liked the gold dlitter runway and shoes! ha!
Sonia Rykiel. playful colors and patterns. also an intersting collection and show, but still there were pieces that i really liked.
Paris was beautiful. i'm going to go there one day. and go to Paris fashion week. yes ma'am.
and i loved this month of fashion!!! now, enough of all these fall/winter looks, i'm ready for spring to start already!
and maybe now i can get back to what this blog is really about...being a nanny. booooo.
xoxo
