spring has sprung!

today was another beautiful day! it was in the 70s...even warmer than yesterday. i honestly can't recall anything that happened before we went to pick up Holden. it's already too long ago to remember. but after we picked up Holden, we walked to the main street, where all the shops are, and just enjoyed the warm air. there were a lot of people out. excitement was in the air; just from it FINALLY being Friday, and because of the warm sunny weather. everyone we passed by smiled and said hi.

cherry blossoms blooming! my FAVORITE!!!

i brought my camera with me to capture spring blooming. i thought i had taken more pictures of the kids, but i only took one! ha! oh well. we walked by the river then stopped at the bank. Holden and Mackenna got lollipops.

the light on this one daffodil was beautiful, this picture doesn't do it justice

i'm loving seeing these daffodils popping up everywhere!!

i was so happy to come home from our walk to finally see my marie claire through the mail slot! i haven't gotten it for the past 3 months because our neighbors downstairs got it instead and didn't give it to me! i even left them a note! urghhh!!
AND i was even more excited when i saw Garance and Scott featured in it!! YAYY!!! :)

then we went home and the kids played in the backyard as i stayed in my room, with my curtains drawn and the back door open so i could feel the warm air and hear the kids playing.

afternoon light and shadows. so beautiful

the graveyard has been looking pretty sad lately (other than the fact that it's a graveyard) with the dead grass and all, but the warm afternoon light made it look pretty :)

then tonight, mine and Carrie's friend, Nondi, came over and we walked to the theatre down the street from our house. we signed up to volunteer. i got to scoop gelato :) and we got to watch the play for free. it was a solo performance. the guy who was acting served in Iraq in 2003 and wrote this play using his journals he kept while over there. it was really really good!
afterwards, we showed Nondi around our town a little (walking of course) then went home.
it was such a beautiful day! it was even still warm after the play! ahhh so nice :) unfortunately it's going to be cold again tomorrow and next week :(
