summer picture recap part one

New York (over spring break) with best friends, hikes in my neighborhood to paradise falls, punch bowl hikes with my favorite girls, catching up with good friends, San Diego road trip and body rock with Sarah (and meeting a couple jabbawockeez!!), weddings, best friend's bridal shower, fourth of July and beautiful Santa Barbara, magic mountain!, and lake pyramid with my favorite girls!

by the request of my mother, i will try my best to start blogging again. i didn't blog all summer. i wish i did but i decided to spend my time on other...summery...things :)

to recap, i had an AMAZING summer. i learned who my true friends are ;) i think every summer i say "this was for sure the best summer ever." but this one was pretty dang good. i came home from Philadelphia and finally got to start living ha! (yes, i do miss Philly though) so some things i did this summer were hiking, swimming, tanning, going to the beach weekly or sometimes multiple times a week, shopping, seeing movies at the theatre, amusement parks (magic mountain, california adventure, and disneyland :) nighttime hide and seek, adventures, date nights with my best friend, attended a few weddings, partied, pranked, roasted marshmallows, went new places, went to SYTYCD!!, finally hung out with friends i hadn't seen in a year, road tripped, and i'm sure way way more than that. i loved every minute of it. and i loved every minute of being in California :) my love. and the people i was surrounded by just made it all, that much more incredible. {i will post some favorite pictures later}

so anyway, I'm here in Salt Lake City now. i think I've been here about 2 weeks ish. there isn't much to complain about i guess. my roommates are a bit strange and kinda immature but they're really nice, which is all that matters. being across from my school has been amazing as i went to school for the first time this week. my classes seem like SO much fun! I'm so excited to learn what my awesome teachers will teach us. but i am definitely overwhelmed. not sure how I'll be able to handle all of these design classes with all of these crazy (but fun!) projects. there is an unbelievable amount of stuff in my head just from this first week! I'm kinda freaking out ;)

but luckily, it's all a pretty cool environment. everyone is really really friendly. you can't go anywhere without meeting someone new! actually, i just got back from our first school dance of the year, and it was AMAZING! (at the end of this, someone's gonna have to tell me how many times i used 'amazing' ;) it seriously is the best church dance I've ever been to. i almost didn't go because i thought maybe i should work on my homework instead but I'm so glad i went! i met soo many people and it was just a really good time :)

ANYWAY i think that's pretty much it. i'm going to try to blog a few times a week. right now i have a lot of fashion week recaps i'd love to blog about. i want to use this blog a lot for fashion and design, especially since i'm gonna be surrounded by it everyday. i will definitely still include what's going on in my new college life as well though :) but i mostly want to use it as a place to post things that i'm inspired by. we'll see how it goes as the year progresses though....

well, i'm off to the lake tomorrow with some of my favorite people in the world! gonna try wake boarding the first time! plus some tubing (my FAVORITE!!), swimming, and tanning :) i can't wait!
